LASD arrest serial robbery suspect for a series of robberies in Gateway Cities

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Major Crimes Bureau learned of an armed robbery series of several Arco Gas Stations, AMPM’s, and 7-Eleven’s in the cities of Norwalk, Whittier, Long Beach, Downey, La Palma, Buena Park, Irvine and Costa Mesa, that occurred over a ten day period.  

Metro Detail investigators, assisted by the Long Beach Police Department, Downey Police Department, La Palma Police Department and Norwalk Station,  developed information leading to the identification of a male suspect believed to be responsible for the robberies. 

A warrant was issued for the arrest of Isaiah Manning for seven armed robberies.  On August 26, 2021, an operation was conducted with the Long Beach Police Department and Major Crimes Bureau, in the city of Long Beach. 

Isaiah Manning, Male Black 28 years old, was seen driving in a vehicle and a traffic stop was made.  He was arrested without incident by Long Beach Officers.  He was in possession of a loaded handgun, believed to be the weapon used in several of the robberies. 

During the investigation, detectives learned the suspect committed an additional eight robberies.

Suspect Manning was transported to the Los Angeles County Jail where he was booked for Robbery and held on $200,000 bail.  His next court date in on August 30, 2021, at Norwalk Court.
